Panagia Kykkotissa (Our Lady of Kykkos) – Byzantine icon, Poster or Framed

Panagia Kykkotissa (Our Lady of Kykkos) is one of the most revered icons of Cyprus. The holy icon is kept at Kykkos Monastery in the Troodos mountains and, by tradition, is attributed to the Apostle Luke. It is known for its lively, restless Christ Child, who moves in His Mother’s arms, while the Theotokos, in her red veil, turns her gaze towards us. A gift for every Maria and Panagiota on their name day, for a baptism, a wedding, or your prayer corner. Inscriptions: ΜΡ ΘΥ (Mother of God), ΙΣ ΧΣ (Jesus Christ), Η ΚΥΚΚΩΤΙΣΣΑ.
